Since the inaugural Winter Fair at the King’s Hall in 1986, the event has stood firm as an unmissable networking opportunity for agri-enthusiasts and dairy industry leaders alike.

For those competing though it means so much more. This 40th anniversary celebration will recognise the dedication of the show’s exhibitors, the strength of pivotal connections from across the industry and it will highlight the future of dairy farming across the province.

From the prestigious Supreme Interbreed Championship to the inspiring showmanship classes and the latest products and services on display across two exhibition halls, this one-day dairy show has so much to offer at such a special time of year.

Rhonda Geary, RUAS Group Operations Director commented: “We’re officially counting down to what is set to be a fantastic celebration of forty years of progress, success and resilience at the 2026 Royal Ulster Winter Fair. We’re so fortunate to have had the support of our long-standing sponsor Danske Bank since the inaugural event and our continued partnership speaks volumes about the strength of this sector.

"For decades, we’ve brought people together from across Ireland, north and south, to celebrate excellence, champion innovation and help drive the sector forward, with our vibrant trade sections showcasing the very best the industry has to offer. I can guarantee, this will be an anniversary event to remember”.

Commenting on the milestone anniversary, Rodney Brown, Head of Agribusiness at Danske Bank, said: “Danske Bank has been proud to support the Royal Ulster Winter Fair since its very first event in 1986, and it is a privilege to mark this 40th anniversary alongside the RUAS and the wider dairy industry.

"Over four decades, the Winter Fair has become an important showcase for the quality, innovation and ambition that define dairy farming across Northern Ireland. As the sector continues to evolve, we remain committed to supporting our farming customers and helping them invest for a productive, resilient and sustainable future. We look forward to celebrating this significant milestone with exhibitors, industry partners and visitors in December.”

The 40th anniversary Royal Ulster Winter Fair will take place at the Eikon Exhibition Centre, Lisburn on Thursday 10th December from 9:00am to 5:30pm.
