ANC Bill committee stage concludes as legislative process continues
Sinn Féin MLA Declan McAleer has welcomed his Area of Natural Constraints (ANC) Bill moving to the Consideration Stage.
The party's agriculture spokesperson said: “I am pleased that the Committee Stage of the ANC Bill has now concluded. The next stage in the legislative process is the Consideration Stage, which will take place in the coming weeks, with the Final Stage expected to take place in the new year.
“I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all the groups and individuals who came forward to give evidence to the AERA Committee. Their contributions have been invaluable in informing the committee’s work and supporting the legislative process.
“Sinn Féin will continue to stand up for our farming families and rural communities.”
