Another large entry of 1158 cattle on offer at Clogher Mart for the week ending 27th February sold in a very strong demand in all sections.

In the fatstock ring 250 lots listed sold in a firm demand with beef cows selling to a top of £212 per 100kg for a 830kg Charolais to £1759-60 for an Armagh producer and selling to a top price of £1907-40 for a 1020kg Charolais to £187 per 100kg and a 900kg Charolais selling to £184 per 100kg (£1656) for a Pomeroy producer.

Cow heifers sold to £220 for a 590kg Limousin (£1298) with a 710kg Limousin to £211 (£1498-10).

Friesian cows sold to £135 per 100kg for a 820kg totalling (£1107) and reaching a top of £156 per 100kg for a 580kg (£904-80).

Fat bulls sold to a top of£1668-60 for a 1120kg Charolais to £149 per 100kg and reaching a top of £157 per 100kg for a 970kg Limousin (1522-90).

Fat steers sold to £220 for a 620kg Charolais.

Fat heifers sold to £224 for a 670kg Limousin.
