Great trade for call stock on offer at Swatragh Mart, fat cows to £1700

Bullocks sold to 532p/kg for a Charolais at 252kg (£1340) and to a top of £1560 for a Simmental at 432kg (361p/kg).

Heifers sold to 332p/kg for an Aberdeen Angus at 226kg (£750) and to a top of £840 for an Aberdeen Angus at 266kg (316p/kg).

Fat cows sold to 266p/kg for a Simmental at 640kg (£1700) and to a top of £1780 for a Simmental at 740kg (241p/kg).

Weekly sheep sale: Saturday 13th December seen a smaller entry of 605 sheep at Swatragh which met a steady trade for all stock with 465 lambs and 140 fat ewes and rams entered.

Lambs over 21kg sold to a top of £140 for one lamb at 30kg and to a top of 600p/kg for 16 lambs at 21kg into £126.

Lambs under 21kg sold to a top of £116 for two lambs at 20.5kg and to a top of 586p/kg for seven lambs at 18kg into £105.50.

Fat ewes to a top of £170 and rams to £134 with numerous lots making great prices.
