With millions flocking away to get some much-needed sunshine this winter, a poll has shown that ‘active holidays’ are in vogue, with more than half saying they’d choose a sunny holiday overseas, away from the cold, in order to keep fit and active

Leading leisure airline Jet2.com celebrated 20 years of award-winning flights from Belfast International Airport this morning. In September 2004, Jet2.com welcomed its first customers onboard at Belfast International Airport and today, over five million happy holidaymakers later, the airline is celebrating 20 years since its first flight departed to Prague. To mark the occasion, customers flying with the airline this morning received a VIP customer experience at check-in, which included a red-carpet welcome, balloon arch, cupcakes and vouchers to use towards their next getaway with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays. Joining in the birthday celebrations were members of the airline’s ‘red team’ in Belfast (l-r) Laura White, Michael O’Neill, Justyna Trojan and Nichola Esler.
