Foyle Food Group releases new ‘Shaping Our Future’ strategy

Minister Edwin Poots MLA visited WD Meats today to see the types of beef the company will export to the USA in the next few weeks, after it was granted access to the American market for the first time in 20 years. Two local processors, Foyle Food Group and WD Meats, were listed as meat plants eligible to export meat to the United States, alongside one other UK processor from Wales. US market opens up for beef from NI

Welcoming the approval from the US authorities, Agriculture Minister Edwin Poots MLA said: “The decision by the US authorities to grant access to two local beef processors is a significant move and one that I welcome wholeheartedly.”
